The great thing about our programme is that
there is something for everyone during the week, weekends and
school holidays.
MDL COACHING was
established in 2002 and has expanded over the years and is now
involved in no fewer than 8 tennis clubs and Sports clubs and
numourous schools in Surrey.
All MDL tennis coaches are LTA licensed and are
all CRB checked. They all attend regular courses to keep up
to date with the ever changing tennis world.
My dream was to be able to play professional sport
but having not achieved this I am now doing the next best thing.
There are many obstacles that lie between actually making it
as a sports professional but that does not mean to say that
participating in sport is not fun and because you are not being
paid for it does not really matter. Life is all about achieving
goals that we set for ourselves no matter how big or small they
are. I have found myself caught up in the world of tennis coaching
and could not think of a better job. To see beginners hit their
best forehand ever or to see a player develop over a period
of time is a great feeling. I wanted to be involved in coaching
tennis players of all levels but soon realised that this would
not be possible on my own as you can only be in one place at
one time and there are not enough hours in the day to achieve
this on my own. Over the years a team of dedicated, enthuastic
and hard working coaches have joined me on this journey and
helped develop our coaching programme.
Our Schools programme is expanding year on year. Currently we have mini tennis programmes running at St Thomas Becket Catholic Primary School, Gresham Primary School, Ridgeway Primary School, Park Hill Primary School, St Dunstan's Cheam C of E & St Cellia's R C Primary, Christchuch Primary School. These are to name a few.
Junior Tennis Coaching takes place at Cumnor House School (Summer Term only), Coloma Girls School (Summer Term only) & Mark Love coaches part time at Woldingham Girls School under head coach Nick Rae.
In the past we have run OPEN DAYS & Coaching programmes at The Avenue Primary School, St Philomena's School, Shirley High School, Haling Manor School & Archbishop Tenison's C of E.
